Actual Example: Eliica - Specifications
We compared the acceleration of Eliica with that of a Porsche 911 Turbo. As the graph below shows, Eliica has smooth, linear acceleration. The Porsche’s acceleration, on the other hand, is momentarily interrupted at the two-second mark, due to the change from first to second gear. The same gear-change effect is seen after the five-second mark.
When this difference in acceleration is experienced at first hand, the uninterrupted progression from low to high speed is very pleasant. This sensation makes it easy to understand why people have always wanted to build large-displacement vehicles.
